Macrossan Street - value dining.

Some years ago we brought out a website called Port Douglas Cheap Eats because of the reputation of Port Douglas restaurants being expensive. Some are, but no more than equivalent eateries in Melbourne and Sydney. We even have some that are mentioned in surveys of the best Queensland restaurants. If you look at the last recent blog many of our restaurants here win awards. There is quite a spread of cost associated with eateries in and around Macrossan Street from Dave's Takeaway to Nautilus and there are some specials offered to families from early dining which suits young children (Kids eat free) to lunch specials and BYO restaurants which really help bring the dining expense down even if there is a cover charge for bringing you own wine. As retirees we need to watch our pennies but we still manage to lunch out in Port Douglas at least once per week. It can even be as simple as "Pizza or Prawns in the park". All of this can be found on : Port
