Sassi's has been one of our favourite restaurants for some time.

What is confusing though is most of it is on the footpath and there are two parts?

One part is the restaurant and one part is the "I don't know".

At one part you can buy a carafe of house wine and the other part you can't have house wine unless it is in a glass and part of a special.
All this on the public footpath?

The food was good:


The confusion at the till wasn't.


Trying to make our visitors more comfortable.

Choochooz at the Marina

  This is our first review since Covid and typically we have chosen "Fish and Chips" and a Beef Burger.  Not always but very often.  As a retired couple we dine out at lunch at least once a week. Choochooz did not  disappoint; the burger was good and the fish and chips equally as good. Super Crisp stubby - $9.00 Little Angels Sauvignon Blanc bottle - $45 Bosworth Pinot Noir glass - $11.00 Angus Burger - $25 Battered Mackerel & Chips - $35 Payment surcharge - $1.50 Total - $126.50

Dave's Takeaway right in the middle of Port Douglas

Fish & Chips at Dave's Takeaway This little Cafe at 35 Macrossan Street powers along with a very comprehensive menu. Not only that Dave provides table service which is handy if you like your fish fillets grilled. Dave's reasonably priced Menu includes: Ice cold drinks, Roast meals, Hamburgers, Hot rolls, Fresh salads, Fish, Chips and a variety of chicken dishes.
