The Coffee Club - Port Douglas In what I would call a game changer the Coffee Club in the Port Village Complex, 11 - 17 Macrossan Street, is now a BYO restaurant. Port Douglas has few BYO eateries and because of that dining here can be a tad expensive with some restaurants offering their cheapest bottles of wine for more than $40 each. With Port Douglas having a big population of self funded retirees this may be an opportunity for us oldies to get out and about and enjoy some reasonably priced dining. On top of all that The Coffee Club gives seniors a 10% discount. Lunch for two with BYO wine. We had Spicy Buffalo Chicken Strips & Chips $18.90 and Beer Battered Fish and Chips $17.90 with some Rumours Sauvignon Blanc $5.25 (Dan Murphy's). $18.90 + $17.90 = $36.80 - 10% (Seniors discount) = $33.12 + $5.25 (wine) = $38.37 An equivalent meal in a licensed Port Douglas restaurant would easily be twice that. Added bonus is free wifi for patrons. The
